Playoffs begin tonight

The regular season for the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission's summer basketball league has ended for 2010. Guerilla Squad garnered the top-seed for the playoffs and will play BGL Electric on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. Defending champs R.R. Frey Services are the third seed and will play Vesuvio's Pizzeria.

Lucky's-Phillips

Lucky's Deli won by forfeit.

Mr. Z's-BGL Electric

Mr. Z's Contracting drilled 18 three-pointers as a team on their way to an 89-61 victory over BGL Electric. Ted Styka led the attack with 28 points, knocking down eight threes for the game. Mark Fowler (23 points), Tony Gomez (15 points), and Doug Litwhiler (14 points) added to the win.

Mark Mazur's 21 points led BGL Electric, and Dave Agosti scored 14 points in the loss.

Service-Cuz-N-Joe's

Service Electric used a seven point half-time lead on their way to a 54-49 victory over Cuz-N-Joe's Place. Mike Yaworsky led Service Electric with 12 points, and Jeff Peel chipped in with 10 points.

Cuz-N-Joe's Place was led by Soko Mujovic's game-high 18 points. Ethan Eichorst added 16 points in the loss.
