Two are charged in Nesquehoning

Amanda Lynn Messenger, 121 S. Allen St., Nesquehoning, amd Melissa Gressler, 172 Creekside Manor, Lehighton, are facing charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct as a result of an incident that happened at 1:40 a.m. June 20 in Nesquehoning.

Police said they were summoned to the unit block of West Catawissa Street to investigate an assault, and learned that a Bonnie Strohl had been assaulted by the defendants.

Messenger and Gressler are tentatively scheduled for a preliminary hearing scheduled for 2 p.m. Aug. 18 before District Justice Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford.
