Vehicle stop leads to drug charges

A vehicle stop along Interstate 80 in East Side Borough, Carbon County, has led to driving under the influence and drug charges against a New Jersey resident.

State police at Fern Ridge said Jose Juan Rosa, 43, of Elizabeth, was stopped westbound at 11:19 a.m. onThursday for a motor vehicle code violation.

Through an investigation Rosa was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of his vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana. Rosa then taken for a blood test. Charges are pending test results, troopers said.
