July 21, 1986 Jeff Hausamann earns the pitching win and also collects two hits and two runs scored to help Northwestern gain a 6-5 win over Lehighton in the opening game of their Lehigh Valley Legion best-of-three playoff series. Dave Bettler adds two hits, one a double, and knocks in a pair while Rob Seyfried and Andy McCauley each finish with two hits. The winners, coached by Danny Schellhamer, also receive an RBI hit from Dan Perich.
