Rush Twp. police make DUI arrests

The Rush Township police has reported the following arrests for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. All of the incidents took place on July 31.

At 2:15 p.m., Keith Washeim, 39, of Tamaqua, was stopped on Claremont Avenue. Washeim had a suspended driver's license-DUI related. He was taken back to the township station for a breath test. The test results were a .107 percent. He is also facing charges for traffic violations.

At 5:31 p.m., Joseph G. Polusky, 54, of Mahanoy City, was stopped for riding an all terrain vehicle (ATV) down Grier Ave and SR54. Polusky is facing numerous traffic charges and DUI charges after refusing a breath test. Polusky also has a suspended driver's license-DUI related.

At 8:52 p.m., Michael G. Ferko, 48, of Oxford, Chester County, was stopped on Claremont Avenue and is facing DUI and other charges. Ferko had a suspended drivers license-DUI related, and was taken back to the township station for a breath test. The test results were a .102 percent.
