Tamaqua man charged with criminal contempt

A Tamaqua man has been cited for indirect criminal contempt of a court order after allegedly violating a protection of abuse order issued to his wife.

Robert Farber, 39, of 5 W. Lehigh St., Summit Hill, was cited after he went to his wife's home at 421 Glenwood Ave., Tamaqua, on Saturday evening. Farber allegedly had been at the home earlier in the day and had been told to leave.

Police learned of the incident after Farber returned to the home at 11:15 p.m.
