No injuries in Carbon crash

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 9:30 p.m. on July 18 along North Old Stage Road in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Eric J. Colbert, 41, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram northbound when the truck went off the road on the east side and struck a PPL pole with its front end.

Troopers also reported investigating a crash on Tuesday, July 27, about 8:11 a.m. along SR115 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said James J. Chanese, 23, of Rocky Point, N.Y., was traveling southbound while James J. Barbagallo, 36, of East Stroudsburg, was turning right into a business. Troopers said Chianese's 2000 Chrysler Sebring struck Barbagallo's Honda CRV on the rear passenger side with its front driver side. After impact the Sebring continued south and went off the west side and struck a business sign causing minor damages to the sign and severe damages to the car. The Honda sutained minor damage.

Chianese, Barbagallo and his passenger, Timothy Wieczezak, of Effort, were all not injured.
