Crash probed along I81

A crash was probed along Interstate 81 in West Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville said the crash occurred about 2:25 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8.

Troopers said Sarah A. Sims, 27, of Owego, N.Y., was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer northbound in the left lane with another driver made a lane change from right to left lane. Sims attempted to avoid the other vehicle and drove onto the berm causing her to lose control. Her vehicle spun in the median and rolled over, continued north and struck a PennDOT trailer that was parked in the median. The other driver failed to stop and continued north.

Sims sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by Mahanoy City EMS unit personnel.
