Charged with possession

Four individuals were charged after Summit Hill police found them to be in possession of a controlled substance.

According to Summit Hill police, on Aug. 7, at 2:45 a.m., police received a call from park rangers at Mauch Chunk Lake Park. When they arrived they found four individuals at a camp site who were in possession of a controlled substance. The individuals named were Shoff Joshua, 26, of 20 Center St., Wilkes-Barre; Maria Bernazzoli, 23, of 908 Webster Ave., Portage, Pa.; Josh Simala, 27, of 3951 Portage St., Portage; and Joseph Reiprich, 31, of 410 16th St., New Cumberland.

Charges against the four were filed. They included possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
