Faulty work
Wendel and Ankee Pollich, 27 Junco Lane, Albrightsville, filed a civil action against CJT Kitchens and Baths, Charles Travato, dba, CJT Home Improvements, 567 Pattern Circle, Albrightsville.
The suit states the plaintiffs contracted with the defendants for renovation work in their kitchen. The suit alleges the work was not done in workmanlike manner and satisfactorily with the alleged faulty work detailed. Sought are damages of $40,767.78 plus pre and post-judgment interest, costs and fees.
Contract default
Ford Motor Credit Co., Box 6508, Mesa, Ariz., filed an action against Elsie E. Stewart, 400 Lake Drive, Nesquehoning, alleging she defaulted on a motor vehicle installment sales contract. Sought is $20,135.51 plus interest, costs and fees.
Seeks damages
Geraldine Feinsilber, Box 5603, Pocono Summit, filed a civil action against Jeremy and Lori A. Feinsilber Barkanic, 380 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton.
The suit states the plaintiff resided with the defendants from February 2009 to May when the she was allegedly illegally evicted from the residence. The suit further alleges the defendants have refused to let the plaintiff retrieve her personal possessions, which are detailed in the suit.
Sought is a court order directing the defendants to permit the plaintiff to retrieve her property and also sought is damages of $30,000 plus fees, costs and interest.
Fall suit
Charles Jenkins, 544 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Kunkletown, filed a civil complaint against Robert and Mary Mahoney, 1705 Nichols Glen, Albrightsville.
The suit states on Feb. 17 at the request of the defendants the plaintiff went to their home to assist in the repair of drywall in the living room area. While on a ladder working on the ceiling area the suit alleges defendant Robert Mahoney, who was bracing the ladder, left for unknown reasons and without warning the plaintiff. As a result the ladder slid causing the plaintiff to fall suffering injuries detailed in the suit.
Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000.
