Nesquehoning citations issued

Nesquehoning police reported on citations issued by officers recently.

On Aug. 17 Officer Carl Breiner was dispatched to Redners Warehouse Market for a retail theft incident. Arrested was David Derby Jr., of 413 E. Patterson St., Lansford, for allegedly taking Monster energy drinks.

Also on Aug. 17 Breiner was dispatched to 342 W. Railroad St., for a domestic incident. At the scene Briener was told by George Beury that he and his son, Joshua Beury, were arguing during which his son grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the ground and then ran from the home.

Breiner charged the son with simple assault and harassment.

On Aug. 20 Chief Sean Smith issued three citations against Rafael Antonio Falcon, 66 W. Ridge St., Nesquehoning, for driving under suspension, expired Texas registration and an expired Texas inspection sticker.

Officer Ronald Peck issued traffic citations as follows: on Aug. 18 speeding tickets - two for 41 miles-per-hour in a 25 zone at SR209 and Oak St., and one for 55 in a 40 zone at SR 209 and SR93. On Aug. 19 stop sign violation at SR209 and Mermon Ave.
