Vehicle stop leads to drug charges

On Aug. 18 at 2:06 a.m. the Pocono Mountain Regional Police conducted a traffic stop along SR940, west of police headquarters, for a vehicle code violation.

While speaking with the driver, Kwan Baker, 32 of Pocono Pines, officers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted by K9 Niko. The search revealed a cloth bag containing marijuana.

Baker was arrested and transported to the Monroe County prison charged. with possession with intent to deliver, possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
