August 24, 1970 Bob Melnick tosses a no-hitter to lead Summit Hill to a 10-0 win over Nesquehoning in the Panther Valley Little League Tournament. In his six innings of work Melnick walks three and strikes out 11 batters. Bob Smith collects two hits, one a homer, and scores two runs for the winners. Joe Kozuch contributes a hit and scores a pair of runs while Kerry Lesniak adds a double and run scored.
