Woman facing harassment count

A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of harassment following an incident which occurred on Sunday, Aug. 29, along Cane Lane, in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge siad Dorothy Blomberg, of Effort, allegedly slapped Charles Kevin Blomberg, of Brodheadsville, in the face during a verbal altercation. The harassment charge is pending, troopers said.

Troopers also reported on Aug. 22 about 3:30 a.m. along Chippewa Trail, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, Michele Herbeson, 50, and Mark Suabedissen, 41, were involved in an altercation in which Herbeson scratched Suabedissen and he then struck her in the face.

Both were intoxicated at the time, troopers noted. Both were cited for harassment, troopers added.
