Two crashes on I80 in Carbon

Troopers said Mir attempted to return to the right lane and hit the rear of Sease's 2004 Freightline trailer with the front of his 2007 Volkswagen Touareg.
Mir and passenger Naseem A. Mir, 70, same address, were injured and taken by Lake Harmony and Lehighton ambulances to the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, Luzerne County, for treatment. Sease was not injured.
Troopers cited MIr for following too closely.
The second crash occurred about 8:14 a.m. on Aug. 22 as James H. Tower, 40, of White Haven, was traveling westbound in a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck when he lost control after driving through standing water.
