N'western, Palmerton split golf matches

Northwestern and Palmerton managed to split Colonial League golf matches on Monday.

Pen Argyl

Northwestern split in a Colonial League tri-meet at Saw Mill Golf Course.

The Tigers knocked off host Pen Argyl 410-448, but ended up falling to Southern Lehigh by a 390-410 score.

Cole Miller paced the Tigers with a team-low 76, while Nick Vecellio finished right behind with a 79.

The Spartans' Matt Guro grabbed medalist honors with a 2-over-par 72.

Palmerton earned a split in a Colonial League tri-meet at par-71 Green Pond Country Club.

The Bombers carded a 437-457 win over Moravian Academy and dropped a 431-437 setback to host Notre Dame of Green Pond.

The Bombers' Ben Andrews shot a 1-over-par 72 to take medalist honors.
