Accident suit

Michael and Mary Lou Harvan, 58 Floral Drive, Lehighton, filed an action against Tedianne Eckhart, 355 Upper Nis Hollow Drive, Lehighton, over an auto accident that occurred at the intersection of SR443 and E. Penn St., Lehgihton.

Michael Harvan was operating a motorcycle on 443 when it is alleged Eckhart failed to stop for a red light and pulled into the path of the plaintiff. Sought are damages for severe injuries sustaind and detailed in the suit. Sought is damages in excess of $50,000.

Assault suit

Mark and Wen-Shih Savacool, 701 Fireline Rd., Palmerton, has filed a civil suit against Douglas Hawk, 383 N. Fireline Rd., Palmerton, stemming from an alleged assault incident.

The suit states on July 16 Mark Savacool was allegedly "viciously and without warning attacked" by Hawk, causing injuries about the face and head and then threw him onto a bank and into a creek.

Negligence is alleged and sought are damages for injuries sustained and detailed in the suit in excess of $50,000 on each of five counts.

Contract default

Ford Motor Credit Co., Box 6508, Mesa, Ariz., filed an action against Matthew J. Fassl, 12 Weeping Willow Lane, Ashfield, alleging he defaulted on a motor vehicle installment sales contract. Sought is $22,261.71 plus interest, costs and fees.

Divorces started

Daniel Devitt, 335 Ochre St., Lehighton, filed against Tara M. Devitt, an inmate at the Carbon County prison. They were married July 6, 2007.

Leslie Russo, 10510 Interchange Rd., Kresgeville, filed against Ronald P. Russo, Box 4264, Saylosburg R.4. They were married May 19, 1984.

Tedianne Eckhart, 355 Upper Nis Hollow Drive, Lehighton, filed against Teddy L. Eckhart, same address. They were married May 25, 1985.

Tara J. Andreas, 101 Smith Lane Rd., Lehighton, filed against Jason C. Andreas, 2795 Little Gap Rd., Plamerton. They were married May 10, 2003.

Builder sued

Joseph Desmoulin, 1768 Gleason Ave., Bronx, N.Y., filed an action against Robert and Carol Mathuri, dba, Struggle Builders, 85 Vista Drive, Albrightsville.

The suit states the plaintiff invested with in the construction of a home at 2095 Macaulay Rd., Towamensing Trails, in August 2007. The home was completed and sold. The suit alleges the plaintiff has not received payment back for his investment. Sought is $135,000.

Confessionof judgment

Susquehanna Bank, 1570 Maneim Pike, Lancaster, filed an action against Pamela Sebia, 305 Mill Rd., Lehighton, alleging she defaulted on a loan note. Sought is $91,321.02 plus interest, costs and fees.

Bill owed

The Service Team Inc., 6565 Interchange Rd., Lehighton, filed an action against Thomas M. Ostrow, dba, Ostrow Construction or Ostrow Home Improvements, Box 2380, Canadensis R.2, alleging a default on a credit account for materials sold and delivered. Sought is $6,025.50.
