DUI arrests
State police at Lehighton reported on three driving under the influence (DUI) arrests that are pending.
On Sept. 5 about 1:31 a.m. troopers stopped a vehicle along Canal St., in Franklin Township, Carbon County, for several traffic violations. The driver was identified as Melissa Gressler, 38, of Lehighton. She was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. Charges will be filed, troopers said.
Also on Sept. 5 about 9:27 p.m. troopers stopped a vehicle along Silver Springs Blvd., at Carney Rd., in Polk Township, Monroe County, for traffic violations. The driver was identified as Michael Wallace, 29, of Kunkletown. He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest. Charges will be filed, troopers said.
On Sept. 7 about 8:03 p.m. troopers stopped a vehicle along SR209 at the Carbon County/Monroe County line near Koch Rd., in Polk Township, for traffic violations. The driver was identified as Joseph Pizzano, 50, of East Stroudsburg. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI. Charges will be filed, troopers said.
