Insurance suit

The Service Team Inc., 6565 Interchange Rd., Lehighton, filed an action against Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Co., One Commerce Square, Philadelphia.

The suit states on Oct. 1, 2006, a fire destroyed the plaintiffs business, Country Junction, 6565 Interchange Rd., consuming the entire building. The firm made a claim with the defendant for a fire sprinkler system which was rejected.

The suit alleges bad faith and breach of contract and seeks damages in excess of $50,000 plus costs, fees, interest and punitive damages.

Fall suit

David S. and Shannon A. Holtzer, 515 Delaware Ave., Apt. G, Palmerton, filed a civil complaint against David J. and Jean Susko, 237 W. Marconi Ave., Nesquehoning.

The suit states on June 24, 2009, David Holtzer was at 315 W. Water St., Lansford, when he was caused to fall due to a hole in broken concrete causing injuries detailed in the suit. The defendants are owners of the rental property, the suit states. Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 on each of two counts.

Pedestrian accident

Patricia Gesell, 1521 W. Turner St., Allentown, filed a civil action against John S. Ligenza, 156 Woodside Drive, Jim Thorpe.

The suit states on Aug. 14, 2009, Gesell was a pedestrian along Mountain View Drive in Penn Forest Township when she was allegedly struck by a vehicle driven by the defendant. Damages are sought for injuries sustained and detailed in the suit. Sought is damages not in excess of $50,000.

Insurance bill

Encompass Insurance Co., Box 908, Monmouth Junction, N.J., for Charles Bott, filed a civil action against Dezirae Feller, 12 South Ave., Jim Thorpe.

The suit states on Aug. 2 Bott, as an insured driver with the plaintiff, was involved in a crash along North St., Jim Thorpe, with the defendant. Negligence for the crash is alleged against the defendant and sought are damages of $8,783.52 plus interest, costs and fees.
