Schuylkill motorcyclist suffers minor injury

A Jonestown man sustained a minor injury in a motorcycle crash Thursday at 4:45 p.m. on East Colliery Avenue (Route 209) in Porter Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Brian K. Kreiser Jr., 23, was traveling north on a 2004 Yamaha R6 when for some unknown reason he jumped off the motorcycle, causing it to skid on its side and strike a parked vehicle that was unattended on the east berm.

Police said he was charged with careless driving.
