Three from Carbon cited for theft

Three Carbon County residents were cited for retail theft following an incident in Lehigh County. State police at Fogelsville said the incident occurred at the Walmart store at 1091 Millcreek Rd., in Lower Macungie Township, on Sept. 21 about 6 p.m.

Troopers said the three were observed removing clothing and tags from store racks. They then attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise.

The three were identified as Ann Conroy, 44, Holly Filer, 25, and a 15-year-old female, all from Lehighton. The trio were also charged with criminal conspiracy-theft.

In another incident at the store Chad Robert Dumbleton, 18, of Breinigsville, was cited for retail theft after he was observed concealing several DVDs and a book inside his backpack and attempting to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. The merchandise totaled $59.79 in value. The incident occurred about 2:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24.
