Man arrested for false ID

Rush Township police report that on Sept. 23 at 10:40 a.m., Shawn Murphy, 31, of Tamaqua, was arraigned on a charge of false ID to law enforcement, stemming from an incident on Lafayette Ave. in Hometown.

Murphy was arraigned in front of District Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua, and released to the Carbon County Sheriff's office on an outstanding warrant.
