Schuylkill man jailed for threats

A Schuylkill County resident was jailed on Thursday, Sept. 30, charged with terroristic threats and simple assault stemming from an incident which also involved a gun.

State police at Frackille said the incident occurred at 137 S. Wylam St., in West Mahanoy Township, about 8:30 p.m. According to troopers during an argument Robert William Weyman Jr., of Frackville, allegedly struck Erin Weyman, also of Frackville, in the chest with a closed fist then approached the victim while holding a shotgun and made statements about harming the victim.

Troopers said Robert Weyman was arraigned before duty District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, and committed to the county prison in lieu of $15,000 percentage bail.

Troopers did not indicate the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
