Dog law violation

State police at Fern Ridge have charged a Monroe County resident with a dog law violation.

Troopers said Fitzroy Johnson, of Effort, was charged after he allegedly allowed his five boxer dogs to escape from the interior confinement of his property at 2090 Treible Drive, Chestnuthill Township, and run free through the community.

The incident occurred aobut 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29.
