Cowards to represent us
Dear Editor:
I am tired and getting attacking mailings in my mailbox from cowardly candidates. Neither one of our candidates for state representative (Heffley and Yaich) has bothered to answer any of the important questions.
Ask either one of them what they propose to do to address the looming pension disaster and they say something like, "we'll have to look at that". That is just one of the many important issues that will directly impact each and every homeowner in the state, but yet neither of these candidates have anything resembling a coherent answer to the question.
Why do these candidates have such a fear of talking about the issues that will actually impact our wallets? They like to talk about one thing. Property taxes. Talking about doing away with property taxes sounds great, but it's completely unrealistic and until pigs sprout wings and fly it won't happen. So why waste anyone's time talking about it?
Can we get a public debate between the two candidates that isn't run by a political group? At the very least we deserve some honest answers to our questions and thus far those answers are nowhere to be found.
Shame on you both!
