Assault charges on Hometown man

Stephen R. Munoz, 46, of Hometown, is facing aggravated and simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment charges after Rush Township police were called to Munoz's residence for a disturbance at 37 Meadow Ave.

Munoz was arraigned before District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, Tamaqua and released on $25,000 bail.

Township police are investigating a break in with two campers located near Hope's Towing in Hometown. A 25-inch Samsung television and other items were stolen.
