Gilberton driver charged with DUI

Shane Kerrigan, 19, of Gilberton, is facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop Oct. 10 at 2:10 a.m. on SR924 in that borough.

State police at the Frackville said after the stop it was determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He submitted to a breathalyzer test which confirmed his blood-alcohol content was above the legal limit.
