Schuylkill man threatens girlfriend

A Schuylkill County man who threatened to shoot his girlfriend has been committed to the county prison in Pottsville in lieu of $100,000 bail.

State police at the Frackville charged Barry Berger, 30, of Ringtown, with terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct after an incudent on Sunday at 6 a.m. at 114 Main Blvd. in Brandonville.

Police said during an argument Berger aimed a loaded AR-15 assault rifle at his girlfriend, Lisa Conti, 35, also of Ringtown, threatening to shoot her.
