The Eldred Township Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the township municipal building. Norman Burger from the Polk Township Historical Society will speak about the Jonas Bake Oven.

Eldred Twp. Halloween parade

You have a few more days to preregister for the Eldred Township Halloween Parade, Sunday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. Preregister by Sunday, Oct. 17. The parade is open to the public and free of charge. You are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the PVEN food bank in place of a registration fee.

There are prizes for costumes: Most original; cutest; ugliest, best pair; best group; best float.

Eldred Township supervisors meeting

The next Eldred Township supervisors meeting will be on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building. The meetings are open to the public.
