October 19, 1985 Scott Thompson kicks a 21-yard field goal with 21 seconds left in the game to lift Northwestern to a 15-13 victory over Salisbury. The winning three-pointer is set up by Chris Hunsicker's fumble recovery and a 12-yard pass from Frank Rauscher to Thompson. Scott Ziegler scores a pair of short touchdown runs for the Tigers, while Eric Dalius leads the offense with 80 yards rushing. NW's defense also comes through with eight sacks, including three by Dave Leiby.
