Chestnut Ridge Seniors

The Chestnut Ridge Seniors will meet on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. Join in the Halloween fun and wear a costume. Bring a bag lunch. Cider and doughnuts will be served. They will play bingo for prizes.

Halloween party

St. Matthew's UCC in Kunkletown will hold its annual Halloween Party on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. Come dressed in costumes and win a prize. There will be games and refreshments.

Halloween parade

Eldred Township's annual Halloween Parade will be on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m., raindate Sunday, Oct. 31. All those walking in the parade are asked to arrive at the picnic grove by noon to be judged. The parade will end at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. where there will be refreshments and the winners will be announced.

Laymen's need donations

St. Matthew's UCC's Fall Bazaar will be on Saturday, Nov. 6 and the Laymen's Fellowship needs donations for the Chinese auction and bake sale. If you have donations for the Chinese auction, please drop them off at the church any time during office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 9 a.m. unitl 1 p.m. or Sunday mornings until 11:30 a.m. If you have any baked items, please drop them off early that Saturday morning.
