JROTC

The Panther Valley JROTC will hold election of officers at its meeting on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. at the high school.

Nesquehoning Tax Office

The tax office of Nesquehoning tax collector Pat Vito will be closed for vacation from Oct. 17-24.

St. John's Church

At 7 p.m. each Wednesday, St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 Abbott St., Lansford, holds an informal worship: a spiritual, peaceful evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome. For those who wish to come early, a simple supper is served at 6 p.m. followed by a brief adult and children's Bible study at 6:30 p.m.
