Nesquehoning man jailed

A Nesquehoning man was arrested after he made threats toward police.

According to Summit Hill police, officers received a phone call on Oct. 21 at 11:30 a.m. for an unwanted individual at the Lansford Townhouses.

After responding to the scene officers found Robert Shafer III, 25, of 14 E. Catawissa St. They attempted to talk to Shafer but he became combative and made threats. He was taken into custody with the assistance of Lansford police and charged with three counts disorderly conducted.

He was arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford, and is being held in Carbon County prison for failure to post $2,000 bail.
