Lions Club
The Nesquehoning Lions Club will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 2. There will be dinner.
VFW Ladies Auxiliary
The VFW Laddies Auxiliary will host a Miller Bloodmobile collection will be held at the post Wednesday, Oct. 27.
Summit Hill
St. Paul Lutheran
Reformation Sunday will be observed on Sunday, Oct. 31, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill.
The worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be preceded by the weekly Sunday school session at 9 o'clock.
On Monday, Nov. 1, women of the W.E.L.C.A./ Auxiliary will meet at noon at the home of Emma Weaver.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, a Task Force Meeting for Congregational Planning will be held at 7 p.m. in the church.
Church members will participate in "Clean Up Day" on Saturday, Nov. 6. Beginning at 10 a.m., volunteers are needed to do some house cleaning inside and outside of the church. Persons interested in participating should call Brian at (570) 645-7564 for additional information.
Parishioners are reminded the Rev. Hazel, pastor, will be away through Oct. 30. Anyone in need of pastoral assistance during this time can contact the Rev. Marjorie Keiter, 645-0356.
Flushing hydrants
The Summit Hill Water Authority has been flushing hydrants in town and will continue doing so on Thursday. Residents may experience water discoloration and low water pressure during the process.

Community Choir
Rehearsal for participants in the combined community choir will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Nov. 3, at First Congregational Church.
The choir is preparing for the Veteran's Day program.
