Can't stand negativity

Published October 30. 2010 09:00AM

Dear Editor:

I am wondering why a candidate would go to using one's family crisis to try to further their own campaign.

A candidate who says he is for "family values" and is a Christian should not in my opinion do this. Perhaps it is just a sign of desperation on their part or for whatever other reason I don't know.

Than to receive a mailer today saying "Justin Yaich has disqualified himself from earning our trust." Let's not dig up trash on someone's youth but focus on what they have done and keep doing for our community.

My bible says "Let those without sin cast the first stone". Everyone, including myself, has done something wrong in the past but it just makes us the better people we are today. What happened to candidates telling us why we should vote for them and not try to cut the other one's throat?

Many of you know me through all my vast community service projects in the community and I can honestly say I am glad to be everybody's friend that I meet. I can't stand negativity and I hope you won't stand for it either.

Sincerely yours,
