Cited for alcohol sales to minors

Debra M. Rausch of 950 E. Delaware Ave., Palmerton, was cited by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement's Wilkes-Barre office for violating the state liquor code by allowing alcoholic beverages to be sold or given to a minor.

The violation occurred on Sept. 16 at The Rausch House. The charges will be brought before a district judge. Penalties range from $50-$1,000 for minor offenses or up to $5,000 for more serious offenses, according to a release from the PBLCE. Violators' liquor licenses can be revoked and they can be ordered to take training on license requirements.
