Carbon driver facing DUI count

Published November 05. 2010 05:00PM

A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, along SR209 in Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said Lisa Kroculick, 53, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 2004 Acura TL southbound when she lost control of the vehicle. The car traveled southwest off the road with the front end striking a utility pole, where it came to reset.

Kroculick was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said. Troopers said she refused to submit to a chemical test to determine her blood/alcohol content. A refusal mandates an automatic one-year license suspension in Pennsylvania.
