Schuylkill crash

State police at Frackville reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 3:27 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, along SR2003 (Mountain Road), near Middleport in Blythe Township.

Troopers said Joseph Campbell, 53, of Middleport, was operating a 2000 Saturn S12 when he attempted to apply the brakes while negotiating a severe right curve in the road. A malfunction of the brake system did not allow Campbell to negotiate the curve, troopers said. The car left the road and struck a tree.

Campbell and his passenger, Aaron Campbell, 29, of St. Clair, were not injured. The car had to be towed from the scene.
