Panther Valley Senior Center

On Friday, Nov. 18 Blue Mountain Health System will host a Health Fair at the Lehighton Senior Center between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

On Nov. 22 the Panther Valley Senior Center will celebrate November birthdays and play bingo at 11 a.m.; Nov. 23 is line dancing; Nov. 24 is black jack at 11 a.m.

The center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 25 because of Thanksgiving. Nov. 26 the center is also closed.

Nov. 29 is bingo at 11 a.m. and Nov. 30 is line dancing.

Please call or sign in by 10 a.m. for the next day's meal.

Summit Hill

Seeking information

The Summit Hill Water Authority is setting up an emergency notification system and needs residents' phone numbers, especially residents whose number is unlisted or those who use cell service. Residents are asked to call the authority office at (570) 645-3223 to provide this vital information. They can also stop in the water authority office at the borough hall during business hours. All information received will be kept confidential.

Heritage center

The Summit Hill Heritage Center is in need of several "wish list" items, including: plastic cutting boards (medium size), dish towels, dish cloths, shovels, brooms, a ladder, a mat for the narthex and a computer, printer and copier.

Anyone interested in donating any of these items is asked to contact Deb Ranck, (717) 787-3672.

Methodist Charge

The services for the Coaldale/Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, Nov. 14, is as follows:

Both churches will meet at the Coaldale United Methodist Church for a combined worship service at 11 a.m. The District Superintendent will be present for the combined service and will conduct a Charge Conference for both congregations after the service. There will be no worship service in the Summit Hill church this Sunday.

Lansford

AMVETS to meet

The Lansford AMVETS Post will hold a meeting on Saturday, Nov. 13, at noon at the post home. Commander Michael Frey will conduct the session. All Post, Sons of the AMVETS and Auxiliary members are asked to attend.

A meeting of the Home Association will be held immediately after the post session.

Sokols to meet

Members of Group 18 of the Slovak Catholic Sokols will hold their annual dinner meeting on Sunday, Dec. 5. Members will assemble in the vestibule of the church prior to the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Following the Mass, they will reconvene at the Viennese Villa, Coaldale, for the dinner and meeting.
