Memory Walk a big success

Published November 06. 2010 09:00AM

Dear Editor:

On Saturday, October 9th, Heritage Hill Senior Community chaired the Alzheimer's Memory Walk for the 10th consecutive year in Weatherly.

Over 60 walkers took steps in hopes of finding a cure for Alzheimer's! Escorted by the Weatherly Police Department, they took pleasure in walking the 3 miles through the picturesque borough of Weatherly.

Because of the combined efforts of so many wonderful individuals, businesses, and families, this event raised over $10,000 for the Alzheimer's Association!

I would like to thank the following people, businesses, and organizations, for their support:

JC Small Engine, Maylath's Valley Health Systems, Northeast Pharmacy Services, Evanko Respiratory Inc., Heights Terrace Pharmacy, APTS, Harry's U Pull It, McNelis Home Care, WYLN, Weatherly Police Department, Weatherly Ambulance, Mr. & Mrs. Benny Heater, Philip Jeffries Funeral Home, The Fireside Lounge, Lehigh Tire, The Deer Meadow Inn Bed & Breakfast, The OIP, The YMCA, Stewart's Floral Shoppe, Nocchi's Pharmacy, Videomania, Applebees, Smith's Florist, Bertha Bittner, Pocono Whitewater, Bonanza, Bowl Arena, The daughters of Mary Louise and the late Leo Poniatowski, The Family of the late William C. and Dorothy E. Hart, Team Sentimental Journey (The Baran Family), The Hartzog Family, Press Room B-shift at Quad Graphics, and the Heritage Hill Care Team.

Because of You ... We will be a step closer to finding a cure for Alzheimer's!

Because of You ... Our loved ones will be able to cherish their memories!

Sincerely,

Lisa Marie Halecky
