Schuylkill crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on a crash at a railroad trestle.

The crash occurred at the railroad tresle in Cressona along SR183, the site of several mishaps in the past. Troopers said Rocky A. Turpin, 49, of Auburn, Ga., was driving a 2006 Freightliner tractor with 2007 Great Dane trailer northbound when he misread signs prohibiting any truck over 11 feet, eight inches in height from passing under the trestle. Turpin attempted to go around the warning signs and the trailer struck the trestle slightly, and Turpin stopped.

Troopers cited Turpin.
