Tamaqua man jailed for threats

Published November 17. 2010 05:00PM

A Tamaqua man was lodged in the Schuylkill County prison Monday night after he allegedly threatened his mother.

Police were called to 218 Washington St. after receiving a call from Corrine Feathers, who reported that her son, Jerry J. Feathers, 30, was trespassing and threatening her. The son had been warned earlier in the day to avoid his mother's property.

Jerry Feathers was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

He was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, who set bail at $10,000.

Unable to post the required 10 percent, Feathers was incarcerated in the county prison, Pottsville.
