November 19, 1976 A touchdown and conversion early in the fourth quarter lifts Slatington to a 7-6 Centennial League win over rival Palmerton. Trailing 6-0, Ron Breiner tossed a six-yard scoring pass to Bob Pierce to tie the score. Greg Miller converted the extra point to give the Bulldogs, coached by Dick Snell, the lead and eventual winning point. The Bombers' lone score comes on a two-yard run by Tom Bollinger.
