Website sale ends in fradulent check
State police at the Lehighton barracks said a Palmerton woman was victimized when she received a fraudulent check for a sale she conducted on the web.
The victim, Erin Behler, 31, of 765 Summer Mountain Road, Lower Towamensing Township, Palmerton, told police she was selling a vehicle on a common website and upon receiving payment learned that the check was fraudulent.
The investigation is continuing.
