Domestic incident leads to an arrest

A New Jersey resident was arrested for domestic assault following an incident in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to 34 High Country Drive, in Long Pond, about 4:31 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, for a report of a domestic assault incident with injuries.

Upon arrival officers were met by Denise Manzella, 29, of Newark, N.J., yelling for help. Also at the scene was Peter Roman, 31, of Bayonne, N.J. Manzella reported that Roman had struck her in the face.

Roman was placed under arrest and transported to the county prison in Snydersville, pending arraignment.
