Mary D man facing DUI charges

John Charles James Jr., 47, of Mary D, is facing drunk driving charges as a result of a traffic stop by state police at the Frackville barracks on Dec. 18.

Police said he was stopped on the Morea Road in West Mahanoy Township, after which time police said he appeared be be under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the state police barracks for a breath test, the result of which showed James' blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit.
