Schuylkill man escapes injury in accident

A Schuylkill County man was uninjured in an accident that occurred around 10:57 a.m. Dec.17.

Schuylkill Haven Police said Haley G. Sippel, 18, of Friedensburg, was traveling east on Panther Valley Road in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County, when the collision occurred as Sippel was exiting a left curve and lost control of his 2001 Oldsmobile Alero.

The vehicle struck an embankment with its right front corner bumper and began to spin clockwise. The vehicle came to rest facing southeast after it sustained damage to the front two front tires and left rear tire.

Charges will be filed against Sippel for driving vehicle at safe speed and driver's required to be licensed at Magisterial District Justice Plachko's office.

Sippel was wearing his seat belt. The vehicle, which sustained moderate damage, was towed from the scene by Moyer's Towing.
