No one is injured in Penn Forest crash

No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:07 a.m. Dec. 22 on Township Route 473, Stony Mountain Road, in Penn Forest Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Sherra J. Gensey-Mims, 22, of Lehighton, was driving a 2009 XD south on the route when she lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left curve. The vehicle went off the west shoulder of the roadway and struck several boulders. Police said the driver then drove the vehicle south to the shoulder of the road.

Neither she nor Kristina Kubicki, 18, of Albrightsville, her passenger, were hurt.

Police said the driver will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
