Reduces bail
Modification of bail was granted to Joseph James Yuelling, Shenandoah, by Judge Stine with certain stipulations. He must secure a bed at the Salvation Army, Harrisburg, while receiving impatient treatment at another facility. He cannot relocate without court permission. Baill was modified to $2,500 unsecured bail. Yuelling was charged by Trooper Michael Breznik with crimiinal trespass, simple assaut and terroristic threats.

Citibank (South Dakota) N. A., Malvern, filed suit against Vernon G. Groner, Jr. and Carol Groner, 164 West Spruce Street, Tamaqua, alleging $3,791.51 remains unpaid on their credit card.
G.E. Money Bank, Alpharetta, Georgia, filed suit against Patricia Alsvan, 28 North 8th Street, Mahanoy City, alleging $4,195,90 remains unpaid on her credit card.
Arrow Financing Services, LLC, filed suit against Tanya A. Earley, 17 South Catawissa Street, Mahanoy City, alleging $5,343.25 remains unpaid on her credit card.
Lease violation
Roy E. Bensinger, 1720 Spruce Street, Ashland, filed a civil action against Daniel P. and Erica L. Shoemaker, 3189 Summer Valley Road, New Ringgold, alleging they violated a lease agreement on a mobile home and seeks possession of the property.Revokes parole
Kareem Jamiai West Walker, 25, formerly of 18 Mauch Chunk Street, Tamaqua, has her parole revoked by Judge D. Michael Stine after a court hearing as she was found to have violated three conditions of her parole, failed to acquire permission from her probaton officer to change residence, failed within 48 hours to notifiy a new arrest and had possession of drug paraphernalia. She was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison to serve her orginal sentence and 59 days of liberty was taken away and the new maximum date for her release from prison was set at September 25, 2011. She had pleaded guilty to charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct brought by Patrolman Thomas Rodgers, Tamaqua Police.
Sent to prison
Michele Ann Almonti, 59, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to possesson of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve three months to 12 months in a state correctional institution and the sentence is to begin at the expiration of a 12 months to 36 months sentence now serving in a state correctional facility. She received credit for serving 25 days in the county prison.
Michael Lee Reed, 31, was given a hearing in court on a bench warrant issued December 13 for failing to appear at a required court date. Judge D. Michael Stine vacated the bench warrant and set aside the bail forfeiture and remanded Reed to the county prison to await re-processing with bail orginally placed by his landlord, Harry Roberts, 216 North Center. Pottsville, and the defendant shall reside at this address and not relocate without court approval. Reed, when arrested by Patrolman Charles Blesse, Coaldale Police, in August 2009, resided at 169 Moser Avenue, Coaldale. He was charged with forgery of bank checks from his mother's pocketbook and cashed. He also faces charges of theft filed by Chief Timothy Delaney, Coaldale Police, and burglary brought by Sargent Keith Krapf, Coaldale Police.
Treasurer's report
Treasurer Jacquelyn McGovern released a report on county financial spending for November showing $8,932,765.87 was deposited and $11,895,494.31 was disbursed leaving a balance of $46,414,950.84 in all accounts. Real estate taxes received during the month totaled $301,971,30, funded debt tax $14,566.03 and per capita tax $12,149.80. Revenues by the treasurer's office from sale of licenses were, dog, $99; hunting, $202; bingo, $215 and small games of chance, $1,210. Revenues received from magisterial districts were $56,251.53; the 91-1- tariff on land telephones, $116,182.60; hotel tax, $28,173.17 and 9-1-1 earnings, $574.76.
Bail is set
Bail was set by Judge Stine at $15,000 straight cash for Tammy Josephine McShaw, 42, Pottsville, after a hearing in court. She is awaiting trial on charges brought by Patrolman Brian Reno, Pottsville Police, of driving under the influence of alchol on November 1, 2009 and driving while her operating privileges were suspended.
