Winter cleanup

PennDOT workers used heavy equipment to remove ice buildup from the shoulder of the road along the mountainside on Route 209 near the borough bridge in Jim Thorpe this week, keeping the roadway safe for drivers. Don't expect the ice to go away anytime soon, however, as frigid temperatures are expected to remain in the area at least another week.
